This object is a vintage mid-century modern Stangl Pottery clamshell dish (specifically Style #4019) featuring an "Antique Gold" wash over an aqua/teal base color. Produced by the famous Stangl Pottery company out of Trenton, New Jersey, this distinctive design dates back to the 1950s and 1960s. The piece is highly stylized with a signature gold glaze brushed over a light green or turquoise base coat, giving it its unique weathered, iridescent look.
