Monumental-scale garden bronze sculpture depicting a Boy and Girl on a Bench with a Dog. This modern reproduction was designed after the 19th Century Original by French sculptor Auguste Moreau.
Design & Construction Theme: The statue portrays a heartwarming, nostalgic scene of childhood innocence—a young boy and girl sitting together sharing a moment on a park bench while holding a small, scruffy dog.
The Process: This is cast using the traditional lost-wax method. This labor-intensive casting process ensures that fine details—like the folds in their clothing, the texture of the dog's fur, and the wood-grain effect on the bench slats—are preserved in the metal.
Patina: The sculpture features a multi-toned, weather-resistant finish combining traditional statuary brown with green verdigris/patina highlights. Over time, exposure to the outdoor elements will naturally enrich this weathered patina.
